In our exploratory workshop of September, 2015, which we're holding in order to build a useful curriculum, we've asked our participants to read one book and watch five movies. The book is Making Movies by director Sidney Lumet, in which one of most accomplished of all American directors walks you through HIS technique for directing a movie.

And, for a slightly alarming representation of the director/actor relationship, you could watch this 15-minute short film, called Scene, which we directed for Dabhand Films in Scotland. (Lead actor Bryan Larkin won a Scottish BAFTA for his performance in the movie.)
